Community & News

Below this item on our community are also news items that affect our community.

Our community is comprised of 4 filings constituting 3 subdivisions:

Meridian Lake Park Corporation was begun in 1973 by Bill Lacy snr. and was made up of filings 1 and 2. Meridian Lake Meadows, filing 3, was developed by Henry Gallin in 1995. Filing 4 was sold to Alan Wolff and developed in 1997. Meridian Lake Meadows and Pristine point have their own byelaws and covenants but are still members of MLPC the "Master Association". MLPC is also a member of the Mt. Crested Butte Water and Sanitation District and the Crested Butte Fire Protection District. Gunnison County has a contract with the town of Mt. Crested Butte to supply law enforcement in our area.

The three subdivisions have a large permanent resident population and second home owners who spend a great deal of time here rather than just a couple of weeks a year.

The residents of Washington Gulch are never at a loss for something to do. Right on our doorstep we have hiking to rival anywhere in the world, fly fishing that Scotland would be proud of, and mountain biking trails that go from here to Paradise. In the winter there is crosscountry skiing , back country skiing and snowmobiling galore.

We will be having a volunteer work day early in July once the date has been set we will post it here. The day is a necessary one as the fence lines suffer during the winter and if we all work together on this we can fix them up more efficiently and quicker. No need to mention that a good fence makes all our lives a little easier come fall and the cows come down valley from their roaming during the summer!

If you have items that you no longer need and want to swap or sell let Gordon know and we can post them on the site for all to browse.

If you have anything to add please let us know.
